SHARING MOMENTS WITH GOD
Through the years I have learned to keep looking up when heartache comes to knock on my door. The photos on this page of the Heaven's Roll Call ministry website are my own Moments with God. Since we all share the sky above, God has given you these moments to share with Him, too. I believe it is His way to show all of us that He continues to be there the times our hearts are hurting.
Anytime you are suffering after the death of a loved one or any other heartache, stop what you are doing and look up. Let God show you that He is there with you. You may see Him in a beautiful morning sunrise, an evening sunset or it may even be a bird singing it’s song of praise to Him. Watch for the subtle messages God sends to you and for you each day. God loves you and remember - Keep looking up!
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:24
When you are alone and step outside either in summer or any of the seasons, what do you see? When you look up at the sky at night, do you see all the stars that twinkle bright or have you ever seen the moon's reflection on a lake? When was the last time you felt a cool breeze on your face or let the wind blow through your hair and not care that it got all messed up? I believe these are the times God shares with us.
SHARE TIME WITH THE LORD
God sends us blessings each day, but we may not always see or feel them because we are so wrapped up in the world around us. When I saw this person standing alone on the dock, I wondered if he was going through heartache and now having his Moment with God. In the world's view he is alone and others may feel sorry for him, but what if he knows our Savior and is sooner feeling the love of the Lord? What if instead of sadness he is rejoicing in the beauty of things around him? What if for this time in his life knows and feels God's presence in his life and feels so blessed?
My daughter shared this picture and when I saw the bridges, it made me think about the different paths we take in life. The closest bridge seems larger with more detail. As in life it would be the expensive flashy things that money can buy. It's the many temptations of having more and more while family gets left behind. It's the bridge of life that leads to wanting more and never being satisfied with what we have. It's the greed of stepping on anyone to get what we want. Then I looked at the smaller bridge in the distance and it reminded me of living life for Jesus who fills all our needs. The sun was like his presence lihting the way. Look up as you walk across the bridge of life and share your Moment with God.
Just after my mom's funeraland leaving the church ,I looked up towards the heavens and saw the steeple with the cross. It reminded me of God watching over us thorugh the trials and heartaches we go through. Then the wispy clouds in the background made me think of angels taking mom home to heaven to be with Jesus. Our God is so merciful and full of love that my heart was at peace knowing mom would be okay now. All her pain and suffering is gone and she be with Jesus, my dad and my brother. My Moment with God went from being a sad day to feeling happy know he was with me.
Looking out my window last winter and seeing the fresh white snow as it covers everything in sight made me think of Jesus covering us by dying on the cross for our sins. Because of Jesus death we, too, will be white as snow when we go to heaven to be with him. What a joyous time that will be. I love My Moments with God!
What do you see when you look at these pictures? Are you strting to become more aware of your surroundings and seeing things more through God's eyes?
This is one of my favorite pictures and makes me think of the road we take through life with all the unexpected turns ahead of us. The trees stand so tall reaching toward the sky while their branches stretch out touching other trees is like people reaching out to each other as they look up to God. I find so much beauty when I see the sun in the horizon coming up at the end of the road. It's like the Light of Jesus lighting the road in the dark times of our life. This is My Precious Moment God allowed me to share with him.
Have you ever had anyone call you unexpectedly. There are no coincidences. When things happen, they are God saying hello!!! If you stop and look back over the last few days, what Moments with God may have you missed?
