Have you had a loved one die recently? My mom, dad and only brother are in heaven with Jesus. Although I am happy they no longer will suffer any pain, I sure do miss them a lot. God has blessed me with so many good memories of their lives. Even though I have regrets, I had to keep reminding myself that they are happy now and would want me to be happy, too.
We all have choices we must make each day. Don't ever let Satan steal the joy of your loved one's life. We all know that life isn't fair, but we also have to believe that Our Father in heaven loves and knows what is best for us. Death isn't a punishment for a believer. It is like a medal of honor that God gives each of us. Your loved one is happy. Allow yourself to be happy, too.
Take time to mourn the death of a loved one. Don't rush the mourning process. Cry when you feel like it. Be angry. Scream into a pillow if you must. It is all normal. It will get better, but it does take time. It still hurts for me to go to the Memorial Day program for my brother and others who gave their lives to keep America free. The tears will flow even though it has been over 50 years. As an adult I am fine, but the little girl inside of me still can't understand the why's. One day I will reunite with my family and if you're still alive, don't be scared. I will be screaming and laughing and dancing and singing and clapping and... I think you get the picture!
Love your family while they are alive. Forgive their mistakes and your own. Live life to the fullest and be happy.
Please out all the inspirational poems on the Heaven's Roll Call website. Many were written after the death of my loved ones and others as I was going through the trials of this life. Each uplifting poem is to offer you hope and encouragement.
