Through the years I have learned to keep looking up when heartache comes to knock on my door. The below photos are my own Moments with God. Since we all share the sky above, God has given you these moments to share with Him, too. I believe it is His way to show all of us that He continues to be there the times are hearts are hurting. Any time you are suffering after the death of a loved one or any other heartache, stop what you are doing and look up. Let God show you that He is there with you. It may be a beautiful morning sunrise or an evening sunset or may even be a bird singing it’s song of praise to God. Watch for the subtle messages God sends to you and for you. God loves you and remember - Keep looking up!

MOMENTS WITH GOD

Small Child at Ballgame

This horse picture was taken at my son's home when I was dog sitting. His neighbors have horses so I like to sit outside with the dog and enjoy the beautiful weather. It brings so many good memories of being a kid and how we'd pretend we were riding a horse while playing cowboys. What a special moment I had as God blessed me with those special memories of childhood with my brother and sister.

This is one of my favorite photos. When my mom was still alive, I would drive home every weekend to stay with her.  Through the various season of her life I would pass this tree so I got a chance to see the changes every year. Every summer it was covered with leaves, but come winter it would look like this photo shows. The tree was nothing special in the light, but then as the sun was setting it turned into a beautiful work of God. It reminded me of our own lives here on earth and the seasons we each go through. It makes such a difference when the Light of God shines behind any of us.

I can't think of a bigger blessing than a child - whether it's your own or not. This little one was at the baseball field watching her daddy play ball. Without a care in the world, she walked around looking at bugs in the grass or the clouds above. In her own way she was having her own special moment with God!

Sunset in Orange, Blue and Yellow

I am totally amazed at the beauty all around us when we take time to stop and look at it. Before the death of my mom, dad and precious brother, Dougie, I don't believe that I ever really noticed the beautiful sunsets like I do now. I was so busy with work and life in general that I never took the time to stop and 'look up' like I ask you so often to do. All the times I felt alone or disappointed with life, I never thought that God really cared as much as I know now he does. After a really hard day dealing with life in general , I happened to look at the sky and this is what I saw. It made me smile, because I could just hear God saying to me, "Hello... what do you mean I don't care?"

There are so many small things that happen in our lives that we all miss. I don't believe our God is a flashy god like some think that will shoot off fireworks while a symphony plays in the background. He doesn't have to be! He loves you and knows how to talk to you and make his presence known. This sunset wasn't a coincidence that just happened. It was God sending his love to "all" believers. Did you see it? The next time you are hurting or feel alone, watch all around you! God will send you sign to remind you that he is still with you. It is up to you to take the time to see them.

John 14:24

*

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

...I'm giving you this message and it's sent from God above. He's just using me to tell you that He's sending you His love.
