Personally Speaking

When you are alone and step outside either in summer or winter, what do you see? When you look up at the sky, do you see all the stars that twinkle bright or have you ever seen the moon's reflection on a lake? When was the last time you felt a cool breeze on your face or let the wind blow through your hair and not care that it got messed up?

There are so many blessings God sends us that we may miss because we are too busy with life. I know the pain of loss and the stress of living this life, but I have learned that when I stop and look up, I see things differently. Every time I go through anything hard, I watch for the signs God will send me to show he is still there. My mom always called herself Mother Rabbit. Yet after she died and I was crying on the steps outside my home, a rabbit came within feet of me, sat up on its hind feet and just looked at me. It could be a beautiful sunset or a friend calling out of nowhere. These are not coincidences. They are God saying hello!!!

Through the years I have learned to keep looking up when heartache comes to knock on my door. The photos and comments on the Moments with God page are my personal times I spent with God. If you look, you will always see signs of God being with you through the trials in this life.
The world is full of illness. One day you're healthy and the next you are flat in bed unable to get up. There are so many new  illnesses, but they continue to find cures for many. No matter what you are facing today, know that God is holding your hand and will give you the strength you need to move forward. You are not and never will be alone.
It's hard to let others help you constantly, but sometimes that is all you can do when you are disabled. No one can understand the hardships you are going through except Jesus. Lean on him when you need a friend and never give up hope. Keep looking up and let God be your Strength when yours is gone. God loves you.
