The Bible verse in John 15:5 says, "I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing." These words tell you to let Christ abide in you so you can share your life with strangers and all others. You have the chance to help them to know the love of Jesus. Your actions speak louder than words so live your life to honor our Father by treating anyone you meet with respect and love. It can be a smile or short conversation with someone you meet in the store. If you are in an elevator going to your next doctor appointment and someone comes in with a wheel chair, why not wish them a good morning before you exit the elevator? The smallest kind gesture can help to turn someone's bad day into a better day. Try it! What have you got to lose?

Have you ever watched TV or seen an article on the internet that touched your heart? Sometimes the news will talk about a father who died protecting his family or a drunk driver killing someone or you may see in the obituaries about a young person dying of cancer. You may even see a video of a soldier who lost his leg in a car bombing or a police officer who was gunned down in a drug bust. There are many strangers we come across in life whose families or even themselves may need an encouraging word.
Copy and print one of the inspirational poems or any of the poetry on the Heaven's Roll Call website. Then mail it with a note saying that even strangers care and God loves them. I put it in a large stamped envelope with my return address so if it isn't delivered I get it back to send to someone else.
